The beliefs of Ancient Egyptians constantly changed. Despite this, fertility, rebirth, death and resurrection remained as some of the most important themes of their religion. Part of the reason why Ancient Egyptian religion is difficult to define and understand is that new beliefs were usually just mixed with old ones rather than replace them.
